Serpentinite is a rock from the Ural Mountains composed of magnesium silicate and one or more minerals of the serpentine group. Serpentine comes from the Latin “serperns” meaning snake. The similarity of the texture of the rock with that of the snake skin is the main feature of the name of the mineral. The serpentine is usually greenish in color, but can range from white or yellowish to gray, and from brown to black. It is a stone that brings us security, makes us confident, purifies and detoxifies the mind and body, it is believed to bring longevity.
